1. Matter Protocol Implementation for Smart Lock
   • Our team developed the Lock On/Off cluster from the ground up, as the Matter protocol lacked a reference implementation for this feature. This required adapting the protocol specifically for smart lock functionality, making sure it supported real-time, secure lock and unlock operations.
   • The Lock On/Off cluster was customized to handle commands from various access points, including touch keys, mobile applications, and cloud-managed keys.
2. AWS IoT Integration and MQTT Protocol
   • We connected the Smart Lock to AWS IoT, using the MQTT protocol to manage real-time control over the lock. This setup enabled secure, bidirectional communication between the lock and the AWS cloud, allowing for reliable remote management and monitoring.
   • The MQTT protocol ensured low latency in command processing, providing a responsive experience for users controlling the lock from the mobile app or cloud interface
3. Multi-Access Control Features
   • Touch Key Access: The Smart Lock was equipped with touch keys, allowing users to lock and unlock with a single tap. This local, user-friendly option provided quick access without needing a phone or internet connection.
   • Mobile Application Control: We developed a mobile app to enable remote lock and unlock functionality, allowing users to control the lock from anywhere. The app was integrated with AWS IoT for secure connectivity, leveraging Matter protocol commands over MQTT.
   • Cloud-Managed Secure Key Enablement: Keys could be generated and managed securely through the cloud, allowing authorized users to grant or revoke access remotely. This cloud-based key management was integrated with the mobile app, providing users with flexible, secure access control.
4. Secure Key Storage with NFC
   • The Smart Lock included an NFC module to store and manage secure keys. This feature allowed users to create unique, device-specific keys that were stored securely in the NFC chip.
   • NFC-based key storage added an extra layer of security, ensuring that access data remained encrypted and localized, reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
